It gives us one more day to prolong our weekend. Every second Monday of October is Columbus Day in USA; Thanksgiving Day in Canada; Diversity Day in most Latin America countries. 2. The observed date of Columbus Day (the second Monday in October) actually coincides with anniversary of the day Columbus’s mini-fleet touched down or landed in the shores of the New World. No matter our views of the person and legacy of Christopher Columbus, this date symbolizes Exploration – Adventure – Immigration – Mission
